Redskins and Cowboys Cap Penalty Appeals Denied
NFL arbitrator Stephen Burbank denied the appeal lodged by the Washington Redskins and the Dallas Cowboys regarding the salary cap penalty imposed by the NFL in March. The Redskins were penalized $36 million, the Cowboys $10 million. Both penalties can be assessed over two years and greatly affect both teams’ ability to extend and/or re-sign current players, especially the Redskins.
